Resolving conflict by diplomatic means sometimes take longer than expected. Parties involved in brokering of peace become frustrated in most cases. Some even give up at some point. Looking at this issue from international diplomacy point of view, in reality, diplomats are suppose to be patient in case of a prolong cases, and diplomatic ties in some cases are met to be continues one.

Some organisation or body might see this issue of diplomacy as depending on the individual cases. Some believe that a diplomatic effort that will be fruitful can be foreseen. However, some also believe that the time frame a diplomatic effort would take can be predicted and if it doesn't work out, the link can be broken.





Research question: If there is time frame for a diplomatic effort how can it be really measured?
